Shinjuku is a shopping, entertainment, and office district centered on Shinjuku Station that spans the southwestern part of Shinjuku-ku and part of the northern part of Shibuya-ku in Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the busiest areas in Tokyo. and is one of the three major sub-centers along with Shibuya and Ikebukuro.
As soon as you step out of the ticket gates of Shinjuku Station, you are greeted by skyscrapers, a wide shopping street, and a plethora of cafes, bars, and restaurants. Nishi-Shinjuku is home to a forest of skyscrapers, while Higashi-Shinjuku is the hub of shopping, dining, and entertainment.
