Plaza de Cesar Chavez is the oldest public space in Northern California. Located in the heart of downtown, it is a lovely plaza with landscaped flowerbeds and beautiful fountains to enjoy the sunshine. The most famous tourist attraction in San Jose, the Winchester Mystery House is a so-called haunted building. The mansion has been under constant construction for 38 years and is rumored to be cursed. The mansion was the private residence of Sarah Winchester, the widow of William Wilt Winchester, a successful gun businessman, and is now a tourist attraction. Under Sarah’s direction, construction of the mansion continued around the clock, 365 days a year, until her death 38 years later on September 5, 1922. According to popular belief, Sarah Winchester was convinced that the mansion was haunted by the spirits of those killed by the Winchester guns, and that the only way to escape the hauntings that were expected to happen to the mansion was to keep building and preparing hidden rooms and secret passages. The interior of the mansion, which has been continuously expanded without any plan, is like a maze, and there are many places you can’t get through without scrambling and twisting.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A garden of lush green lawns and colorful roses, started in the 1930s and still operated by the city of San Jose, with more than 4,000 roses of 189 varieties blooming on a half-acre (about 2,025 square meters). The park is open from April to November, with the best season being early May. You can even hold your wedding ceremony surrounded by roses. The fountain right in the middle of the park is a popular photo spot. There is also a whole lawn next to the park.
